Flights & Hotels

For everyone coming into town, we are so thankful that you are making the trek for our special day. Our wedding weekend is a holiday weekend in the U.S. so we encourage everyone to book travel and accommodations early in order to secure a good price and space.

To assist, we have gathered some simple airport information and a selection of hotels in a range of price tiers. All hotel suggestions are in neighborhoods near wedding events, particularly the wedding in Hudson Yards.

Price ranges were established in October 2024. Linked hotel websites are for review, there are unfortunately, no discounted rates. We typically use Google Hotels or Expedia.

Flights

There are three major airports serving NYC. All three locations will work well but each will provide a slightly different experience traveling into Manhattan.

JFK – Located beyond Brooklyn where Queens meets the coastline, JFK typically has the largest number of flight options and does connect to Manhattan via the subway (A line) for a $2.90 USD ride or a NYC taxi cab for a flat rate of $70 USD (or $75 during peak hours) not including tolls and tip. Both the subway turnstiles and taxi cabs take credit cards or Apple/Google Pay.

EWR – Newark airport is located just across the Hudson River in New Jersey and also has a number of international flights. Travel from the airport is less expensive when you take the AirTrain from the airport to the Newark Airport NJ Transit station and then ride into NY Penn Station, Manhattan, with a single ticket for about $17 USD (or slightly higher during peak hours). You can purchase those tickets on your phone using the NJ Transit app or at a kiosk at the airport. If you take a taxi or car service, expect to pay around $100 USD.

LGA – The recently renovated LaGuardia Airport, located in northern Queens, is a pleasure to travel through and is always our recommended port of entry if there is a reasonable option. Getting from the airport into Manhattan is easy with a NYC taxi or Lyft/Uber and will generally cost between $30-45 USD depending on location, traffic, tip and tolls (there is no flat rate cab option). For a less expensive option, you can also choose to take a NYC bus to a subway line for $2.90.
